It’s time for a fast and just transtion to a 100% renewable economy that protects workers, indigenous peoples and frontline communities. March through San Francisco, demanding immediate action from elected officials just days before they attend the Global Climate Action Summit.Gather at 10 am, the march begins at 11 am and ends at the Civic Center with Street Mural and Resource Fair.

Recommendations from Napa Climate Now:

Travel to the March

Carpooling: To arrange carpooling from Napa, contact davekearneybrown@yahoo.com.

Join Sonoma/Marin buses in Petaluma or Novato. Those coastal counties forged ahead and chartered 7 buses! We’d be doing them a favor by helping fill them. This Brown Paper Tickets link makes signing up EZ. They are leaving around 9AM and returning around 3PM.

BART

Take BART from El Cerrito Del Norte station near the Cutting exit of US 80. Having waited in line for an hour to get access to a ticket machine once, I recommend buying round-trip ticket in advance.

Ferry

Take the ferry from Vallejo. The 8:30 ferry will arrive at the Ferry Building at 9:50 a.m., and the 10:00 ferry arrives at 11. Last ferry returns 6:30. In my (limited) experience, there can be long lines for the last ferries. For those who like the open water, I recommend getting ticket in advance.

Napa Climate Now at the March

If you want to march with NCN, we will gather with a sign on the Embarcadero side of the big concrete fountain in the plaza, starting at 10 a.m.

Napa Climate Now will have a table at the resource fair from 12:30-4:00 p.m. if you need a place to meet for your carpool, etc. We are also looking for more help staffing the table.
