We look forward to the county and city campaign funding limits signed into law by Governor Newsom that will take effect in January 2021. Will dark money find its way around this? The Bill Dodd/ Palmaz Connection:
Christian Palmaz has already taken over 1200 hours of Napa County Planning Department time on his private heliport application, which has been turned down by the Planning Commission (4-1) and the Airport Land Use Commission (6-1). He has appealed the decision to the Board of Supervisors postponed until July after the June 5 vote on Measure D.
Meanwhile, since April 24, 2018, members of the Palmaz family have donated $126,000 to “Committee for a Responsible Napa County– No on MEASURE D, 2018”. As of late last year, they also contributed $15,780 to Bill Dodd’s senate campaign . And ten years ago the Napa Register reported that “The Palmaz family was a major donor to the tune of $500,000 to the capital improvements to the Justin Siena football field which was named after Bill Dodd’s parents”.
